Commissions

A commissioned artwork is an opportunity to own something entirely personal, created in response to your ideas, your space, or a moment that matters to you. Each piece is developed through a collaborative process, resulting in work that feels both considered and unique.

What I offer

I create original paintings in my established style, tailored to your preferences. Commissions can be adapted in terms of the size and format, colour palette, mood and energy.

While each piece is individual, it will always remain true to my visual language and approach.

The process

1. Initial conversation

We begin with a discussion about your ideas, this can be as open or as specific as you like. We’ll cover size, colours, timeline, and any inspiration you’d like me to consider. Ideally this will take place in your home or the ultimate location of the painting but if you’re not local to me, we can do this on a video call.

2. Proposal

Following our conversation, I’ll put together a proposal outlining the direction of the work along with a quote for your approval.

3. Creative

I begin by developing multiple pieces in response to your brief, allowing for a more intuitive and explorative process. For a single commission, I will typically present two finished paintings for you to choose from.

Due to the nature of my process, I don’t share interim images. Instead, I present the work once it has reached a resolved state and fully reflects the agreed direction.

4. Further Amends

At this stage, we can either confirm the piece as complete or make further adjustments if needed. Once final refinements are made and we have agreed that the painting is complete, the piece will then be varnished and prepared for delivery or collection.

Timeline & pricing

Timelines vary depending on size and complexity, but I’ll always provide an estimate at the start.

Pricing is based on the scale of the artwork. A 30% deposit is required to secure your booking, with a further 40% due after the initial creative stage. The remaining 30% is payable once the final piece is approved.
